Every year I’ve been having the pleasure and the opportunity to be part of the most important Latin festivals in Toronto. I am one of the co-founders and dancers for Sentir Venezuela Cultural Group, a non for profit organisation that wants to express, promote and encourage Venezuelan culture, mainly through its music and dance.
I can be part of the celebration that takes place every year in Toronto. Why do I love the Panam Food & Music Fest. Because it’s a free festival that wants to show and celebrate the best of a huge Panamerican culture, especially the Caribbean and Latin America. In one place you can have the best of Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Venezuela, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Domenican Republic, Bolivia, somo of the Caribbean islandsa and more. It’s not just about the music and dance, it’s also about the foof. You get to know great chefs
Also, in a friendly and healthy spirit that makes Toronto special, a vibrant and multicultural city. If you go to Brazil, you would enjoy it’s Carnival amd Samba, but you won’t be able to dance Salsa with great DJs and musical bands, and also, expierence Bolivian Carnival with hger fantastic costumes.
This is what’s happening at Nathan Phillips Square every year in July. On one weekend, you can be in different Latin countries in one place, withouth going anywhere. The heat will make an authentic, unique and unforgettable experience!!!!
