As a Spanish teacher living in Toronto, I’m always looking for opportunities to talk about Spanish. This is a language rich in culture, sounds and deeply meanings of words. There are different reasons why people from all over the world, who would like to learn this beautiful language. They are in love with the sounds and most of then times they refer Spanish as the “language of love”.
Amor/ Love plays an important role in our society, especially for us,. We are very ppassionate and everything we do. We always put our hearts first.
Let’s dedicate this text to one of the most imprtant engine of live: “El amor”.
El día del Amor y la Amistad es una celebración tradicional, donde las parejas de enamorados se expresan su amor y los amigos su cariño. El martirio de San Valentín se transformó en una festividad dedicada al amor y la amistad. En la Edad Media, se creía que el 14 de febrero marcaba el inicio de la temporada de apareamiento de los pájaros, lo que se asociaba con el romance y la fertilidad. El martirio de San Valentín fue la ejecución de un sacerdote romano que desafió la prohibición de casar a jóvenes enamorados durante el Imperio Romano.
